For me, revising seems to absorb my entire life until I finally say, "That's it, enough already, I can't take it anymore -- I'm done." First-drafting leaves me a lot more room around the edges.
And so, since I just finished two major revision projects in a row, I now have a little creative energy left over, finally, to be frivolous. I started programming this game a while back, and wanted to get it finished. Next I hope to do the artwork for the Coral Palace Horoscopes page -- another partially completed project that I would really like to have done.
The new game is very similar to Gin Rummy (the other cardgame on my website is similar to Crazy Eights/Uno), if you're familiar with that, you might be able to work out how to play without the rules. (Although, now that the subject has been brought up, I just realized that there are some mechanical issues with the web game that aren't explained anywhere, since the link takes you to instructions designed for use with an actual deck of Viashi cards. I guess I better go fix that right now before I forget.)
